For the golf ball’s simulation, we need to know the golf ball’s flying direction and speed, and the spin(back spin and side spin) for the trajectory in the air. After the ball drops on ground, wen need to know what the material is to calculate the bounce. If the ball is dropped on rough or sand, the ball’s bounce will surely be less compared with dropped on grass or green.
How do you simulate in rough sand?
For our own DTG golf game, we will let you know what types of surface is the ball is currently on: green, grass, rough, sand.
If your 9 iron’s full swing’s carry(not including bouncing and rolling) is 90 yards, your will find your 9 iron’s full swing will be less if you swing on rough, and even lesser if you swing on sand. Our DTG software will make some comprosation by the type of surface that the ball is on.

What’s your accracy?
First , please note that we are not able to simulate all surfaces of every course. So only the carry is meaningful when talking about simulator accuracy. Since different course’s grass types will affect the bouncing factor.
For DTG-201 model, the horizontal angle is +-1.5 deg, and the vertical angle is about +-2 deg, and the speed/carry is about +-5%.
